Admissions Landscape

Test‑Optional Policies

Many colleges are test‑optional or test‑free. Research policy and strategy before deciding whether to submit scores.

When should I submit my SAT score?
  • If your score is at or above the middle 50% range for admitted students at your target school.
  • When it strengthens your application relative to GPA, rigor, and extracurriculars.
  • If you’re applying to majors/scholarships that explicitly recommend standardized tests.
